FESTIVAL BEST PRACTICES

• UNIFORMS (clean Capoeira pants, cord & t-shirt) are REQUIRED for all afternoon & evening workshops & rodas, and ALL DAY Saturday. For DAYTIME weekday workshops, uniforms are optional.

• For MUSIC workshops: please bring your own instruments, and make sure to label your berimbau and all of its parts!

• Please check in and grab your t-shirt(s) and wristbands before jumping into any workshops. Staff will be distributing wristbands & t-shirt(s) starting Monday. If you are hanging out during pizza (Thursday) or taco (Friday) night, please pre-pay at the festival store ASAP - we need a count of how many people are eating.

• PARENTS: Make your drop-offs quick, no blocking the alley!

• Pack ONLY what you need - there will be limited storage space inside the gym.

• BRING YOUR WATER BOTTLE - other snacks/beverages will be available for purchase - cash is preferred.

• Festival Gear will be available for purchase, BRING CASH if you'd like a discount. Zelle & CC will also be accepted.

• Arrive ON TIME (or even 5 minutes early) for all workshops. Make sure to allocate time for finding parking; Ubering is also a great idea.

• Invite your friends and family to attend the Batizado ceremony on Sunday!
